Although this experience was a very difficult time in her life, she was determined to be a survivor and not a victim. Because of her personal connection to domestic violence and her drive to assist others who are facing similar circumstances, Dr. O’Neal worked to establish Promise Keepers Alliance, Inc. as a compassionate and caring advocacy organization that would serve not only as a domestic violence relief shelter but also as a center of empowerment for other survivors.
